View the whales from a naturalist-guided commercial boat, guided sea kayak tour or from shore.

On San Juan Island some popular shore-based whalewatching locations are Lime Kiln Point State Park, San Juan County Park, American Camp and Cattle Point. Other shore-based whale watching locations can be found on Lopez Island at Shark Reef Sanctuary and Turn Point on Stuart Island.
